UMATT Gets German Grant

Dayton’s United Missions Air Training and Transport, Inc. (UMATT), has received a $15,000 grant from the German Miseror foundation for its East African development and mercy flights.

Hyde Ruble, UMATT board chairman, said the “Wings for Peace” organization’s planes serve 12 German hospital locations in Kenya, Tanzania, Malowi and Uganda.

The UMATT planes bring in medical supplies, nurses, doctors, emergency vaccines and patients.
