Hurst resident John Guthrie and Euless resident Charles Hunt are making a contribution to the people of Guatemala.
The two flight engineers for American Airlines volunteered to fly a Cessna 185 airplane to Guatemala as part of a Maryknoll Missionary project. They landed the plane on an airstrip cleared out of the Guatemalan jungle. Both men are members of Wings of Hope, a non-sectarian group of aviators who take part in various humanitarian projects.
